Legendary Bongo Flava musician Lucas Mkenda, known to many as Mr Nice is finally back at home after many years of globetrotting.
YEIYO.com has learnt Mr Nice recently made his journey back to Tanzania, his original home, aftwr spending many years in Kenya and Uganda.
News of Mr Nice’s arrival in Tanzania was first made public by fellow celebrity TID through an Instagram video seen by YEIYO.com.
TID posted a video of himself together with Uchebe, welcoming Mr Nice back to Tanzania after spending almost a decade in Kenya.
The Nyota Yako hitmaker used the opportunity to inform upcoming Tanzanian musicians that the King of Bongo Flava was back and that they should up their game, lest they want to be sent back home.
“Ohoooo Raisi wenu wa Kokoto kaingia town. Watoto wadogo mjipange. Mr Nice Mkubwa wa kazi.” TID captioned his video.
Going by TID’s video, it is clear he was super excited to finally link up with Mr Nice who is his fellow legend.
The post attracted the attention of various Tanzanian musicians including Mwana FA who could not contain his joy following Mr Nice’s arrival into the country.
Social media was awash with welcoming messages as countless Tanzanians and Mr Nice’s fans took time to welcome the star back to his home country and wished him all the best.
It is important to note that Mr Nice had been living in Kitengela, Kenya for a number of years.
While in Kenya, reports emerged that he was struggling and living a not so good life, owing to a dwindle in his celebrity status.
YEIYO.com understands, Mr Nice has been living in Kitengela, Kenya, for the past four years.
The star moved to Kenya after his two years stay in Uganda.
In 2018, Mr Nice moved to Uganda, where he tried to get some work after he claimed Tanzanians mocked him.
He defended his decision saying he had to work to sustain his life and not just stay in his home country and watch poverty creep into his life.
Speaking to the media, said he chose to finally settle in Kenya since that is where his family comes from.
He added that he did not regret being in Kenya, and nobody can question him.
It should be noted that Mr Nice is married to a Kenyan wife who works as a doctor in Australia.
