SPM Buzz CEO Eddie Butita has for the first time ever watered down claims that content creator Sadia is his latest catch.
Eddie Butita passionately denied dating Sadia despite having been spotted together looking all loved up and as a power couple.
The two had also teased netizens that they are in a romantic relationship with countless social media posts.
Butita, however, has shut down the dating rumours holding that they are just good friends who have been working together.
Speaking during an interview on Radio Maisha on Monday, June 19, Butita disclosed that he joked about dating Sadia just to rehearse having a new lover and how Kenyans will react to the news of him dating again.
“Sadia is my good friend and we have just been working together and nothing more. I teased Kenyans she was my lover because I was rehearsing on how to get a new lover and wanted to see how Kenyans will react.” Butita revealed.
Asked to explain why they were always spotted together, including on holidays abroad, Butita noted that all their meetings were coincidental and only happened by chance.
Butita’s clarification comes about two months after he started dropping hints that Sadia was his new lover.
The two served couple goals on social media including showing up at Akothee’s wedding in a chopper.
It should be noted that Butita had not disclosed the woman he is dating ever since his breakup with fellow comedian Mammito.
Mammito and Butita parted ways about 2 years ago but no one really disclosed the reason behind their breakup.
They have always respected each other’s space and have never talked ill of the other in their seperate media interviews, a clear indication that they are among the few mature Kenyan celebrities.
The two had dated for quite a long time and were even living together as husband and wife.
