The real estate expert has over the years been touching the lives of the less fortunate members of the society through various charity drives and events.
Mwenda Thuranira, on Wednesday, May 10, proved once again that he is far from done with his philanthropy.
The MySpace founder, through his MySpace Foundation in collaboration with Rotary Club International on the aforementioned date put smiles on the faces of Isiolo residents as they hit the county bearing gifts and goodies.
Yeiyo.com understands Mwenda Thuranira and his team donated countless school supplies items to over 1000 students from needy families in Isiolo.
The charity event went down at the Isiolo Catholic Church grounds where many students left with smiles after receiving, bed kits comprising of mattresses, bedsheets and mosquito nets.
The MySpace Foundation also ensured the over 1000 students also receive school uniforms and other clothing to keep them going.
The good news was first publicised by Mwenda Thuranira through a social media post seen by Yeiyo.com.
The MySpace CEO posted countless photos and videos of the charity event on social media, followed by the caption:
“Leadership is a privilege with great responsibility, not a responsibility with great privilege.
The many things I do, I learnt most of them from my father. He taught me the virtue of giving back to the society. Today is a historic day in #Isiolo. Myspace foundation, in partnership with the Rotary International, has rekindled the candle of more than 1000 needy students/pupils.
I am privileged to lead these charity activities. Every needy student/pupil has benefited with a Bed kit which consists of a mattress, beddings, mosquito net, clothing and school supplies.
As leaders, we should ensure that these young learners are in a position to get quality education. This should be our calling.
To all learners that are going back to school, my blessings are with you all.”
