Vocal and youthful Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has added his voice to the ongoing drama surrounding the arrest of sensational Prophet Ezekiel.
Joining the short list of people defending Prophet Ezekiel, Peter Salasya noted that Ezekiel is being persecuted because of someone else’s mistakes.
Taking to his official Twitter account, MP Peter Salasya urged the government, police and Kenyans to let Prophet Ezekiel be as he is innocent as he comes.
According to Salasya, Prophet Ezekiel is only facing the challenges because of problems sparked by Malindi pastor, Paul MacKenzie.
Peter Salasya stated that government apparatus should stop harrassing Prophet Ezekiel now as they had ample time to stop many deaths and other scandals the man of God is linked to but did not.
To Peter Salasya, police have no business arresting and condemning Prophet Ezekiel yet they initial failed to deliver on their mandate.
“Pastor Ezekiel should be left out of the problems created by MacKenzie. The police, DCI, prosecutor, EACC, court etc had an opportunity to protect the brainwashed citizens but instead kept silence .No one should attack pastor Eziekel, if he acquired the station what’s the problem,” Salasya tweeted.
Salasya’s sentiments came barely hours after the arrest of Prophet Ezekiel.
The man of God was arrested on Thursday, April 26, and is expected to answer to charges relations to murder.
It is believed a number of people died at his church even as they sought to see him for his miracles.
Police reports indicated that Prophet Ezekiel was arrested while trying to flee the country.
