A Nairobi-based man was recently arrested and arraigned in court for indecently grabbing a female traffic officer’s bottom while she was on duty.
According to news reports, the man, identified as Timothy Mule commited an indecent act and intentionally disturbing the peace by gropping a female on-duty traffic officer along the ever busy Thika Superhighway.
YEIYO.com has learnt Timothy did the heinous act on the female cop who is attached to the Kasarani Police Station while she was busy directing traffic at the Roasters Roundabout.
A fearless and shameless Timothy is said to have gropped the cop’s behind while in the company of his friends.
It was reported that Timothy Mule then casually walked away after publicly embarrassing the lady police officer.
Following his barbaric deed, other pedestrians who were at the scene took to ridiculing the officer who was in the company of her male colleagues.
To shield her from further embarrassment and even stamp authority, the female cop’s male colleagues right away apprehended Timothy Mule before whisking him away to Kasarani Police Station where he was forced cool his heels behind police cells.
Timothy Mule was arraigned at the Madaraka Law Courts where he denied the charges.
YEIYO.com understands Timothy Mule was released on a bond of Ksh.100,000 or a cash bail of Ksh.80,000.
The direction was ordered by Makadara Law Courts Chief Magistrate Francis Kyambia.
The accused is set to appear in court on September 14, 2023 when his case will be mentioned.
The trial date for his case has however been set for January 24, 2024.
