Yeiyo.com has learnt Gachagua and Kuria were among the guests of honour during the commemoration of 25 years of Muigai wa Njoroge in the music industry.

During the event, Gachagua disclosed President William Ruto had sent him with his KSh 1 million to honour Muigai Wa Njoroge.

“Ruto has sent me to give him KSh 1 million because he recognises his work and I, Rigathi Gachagua, who has been nicknamed Riggy G by the youth, came up with another million,” Rigathi Gachagua said.

Gachagua also took the opportunity to commend musicians from the Central Kenya region for their unity and for entertaining their fans.

” I am glad to see the unity you have shown for one of you. Muigai wa Njoroge is a truthful man. He stood with us during the thick and thin of the last elections. Muigai is a gentleman,” Gachagua added.

Gachagua and Moses Kuria’s gift to Muigai did not settle down well with many Kenyans on social media.

Quite a number wondered why the DP and other government officials have been splashing money around instead of using the same to feed Kenyans affected by hunger in different parts of the country.

A throng of Kenyans on Twitter dragged the two government officials online on end for being very inconsiderate.
