Kenyans, especially of the Muslim religion are over the moon with joy after learning the country is well represented in the ongoing International Quran Competition held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

YEIYO.com has learnt Kenya is being represented by the multi-talented Ahmad Masoud Juma, who has been doing examplarily well in Quran recitation and Qaswida music.

Ahmad Masoud Juma beat other contestants from other parts of the world in initial stages to emerge the best who landed a chance to represent the country in the Quran Competition finals in Malaysia.

It should be noted that Masoud is pitted to win the international competition owing to his unrivaled ability to recite Quran verses and even sing Qaswida.

The Malaysia’s international Quran competition, officially known as Malaysia International Al-Quran Recital and Memorization Assembly (MTHQA), is an annually organised event which usually takes place in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur.

YEIYO.com has learnt the competition had three stages this year, with the first two stages held virtually.

The first round, which was an initial qualification stage saw Ahmad Masoud Juma beat other contestants to book himself a spot in the finals.

The second round, which was held online in June 2023 was a walk in the park for Masoud who managed to inch himself closer to the finals which is currently ongoing in Malaysia.

It is important to note that Masoud is not new to these kind of competitions having done a couple similar to this one before.

Ahmad Masoud Juma is not only good with Quran recitation but also Qaswida music having horned his skills through the Qaswida music group SAS ANGHAM, consisting of himself, Producer Shirko and Saad Faraj.

It was through the group that Masoud learnt to become the best and now he’ll be putting his experience to test at the Malaysia’s international Quran competition, officially known as Malaysia International Al-Quran Recital and Memorization Assembly (MTHQA).
