One of Kenya’s most underrated gospel musicians Alpha Mwana Mtule has finally addressed the nation following claims that he tried to end his life over overwhelming frustrations and depression.
The Tunapendana hitmaker strongly distanced himself from claims that he is currently hospitalised after a failed suicide mission.
Taking to his official social media pages barely a day after his death rumours went wild, Alpha Mwana Mtule revealed that he did not try to kill himself as earlier alleged by various local media outlets and netizens.
According to the multi-talented Kenyan creative, he was poisoned while at a friend’s place in Rongai.
The musician confirmed to his fans and followers that he is still alive and they should stop sending RIP messages to him.
He also shut down allegations that he “faked” his own death for clout as he warms up Kenyans for the release of his next song.
Alpha Mwana Mtule wrapped up by disclosing police had launched investigations to find suspects and bring them to book.
He assured his fans that he will soon do an official public statement to share with the world about the issue and dispel the death hoax.
“This is not clout chasing kindly stop writing R.I.P to me. I am not dead, I thank God for saving my life. I was poisoned at a friend’s place in Rongai. I will talk to you soon and explain what happened because now I am still not feeling well. May God Bless you all. Police are still doing investigations to find suspects,” wrote Alpha Mwana Mtule.
Alpha Mwana Mtule’s social media post came about 20 hours after reports that he had killed himself found way into the interwebs.
News of his alleged death shook the entire country.
However, the same was put to rest by some of his closest friends such as Comedian Y.Y, who confirmed the musician was still alive just minutes after the fake news broke.
Well, a section of netizens were enraged and concluded Alpha Mwana Mtule was just chasing clout, even with Y.Y’s confirmation that the singer is still alive.
